Working with Young People

There is something special and rewarding about doing something to help others. Everyone is blessed when we work together.

YOUth work is something that anyone can help with. We have all been through it, some of use have made mistakes but learnt from them, some of us have gifts and talents that we can share and some of us are just warm and welcoming and happy to chat to others. We can all play a part and be a part of our community.

We have a volunteer process and some simple staps to take so that everyone is happy. It starts  with you asking the  questions - How can I help? . We can then meet up with you and have a chat. You will be encouraged, supported with training and supervision, given opportunities to develope skills and ideas. You would be a valued membere of our team and an active part in the community making a positive impact on a younger generation.







Regular Volunteer Training is offered by Wiltshire YFC  and includes:

Session 1 : Why do we do youth work?

Session 2 : The basics of safeguarding children and young people

Session 3 : Responding to challenging  behaviour

This is a relaxed and informal training day, aimed at those who are involved with or would like to know more about working with young people.
