Youth Worker - Steve Dewar

Steve ( on the left) works as the Team Leader for Wiltshire Youth for Christ. Steve moved to the Parish of Potterne in 2011 and has been supporting the Potterne Youth Centre ever since. As a Youth Worker he has been creating and running initiatives over the last 9 years such as the Weekly Youth Cafe Drop In, Schools based work including ’Mentoring’and the 'Accompanying Project' , Community Garden, other Community Activities and NEW Pop Up Youth and Community Cafe Van in this rural area.

Steve lives locally with his wife and daughter, and Oscar their dog.

With a background in working with the Military overseas and in the UK, Local Authority and all sorts of Charity Work, Steve has a wealth of experience in Youth and Community work over 20yrs. Leading the local Youth charity Wiltshire YFC and finacially supported by his own fundraising efforts and some local residents whose kind support is helping to provide and sustain local youth and community provision. Finacial support is not something we can take for granted and we appreciate any and all contributions that help to keep this role sustainable. PYC Commitee

A small but committed group of residents form the Potterne Youth Club Commitee team. With a great mix of experience. This very comitted community minded group does what it can to help the PYC and wider community remain active.

Potterne Youth Centre and the facilities can only run because of the passion and dedication of individuals in the community who keep the young people actively involved and valued in our community. We greatly appreciate those members of the Trustee Team and Leaders of acitivies and events. You are amazing but the more the merrier.
