Frank Albert Bigwood survived a tragedy
Frank Albert Bigwood was born in Potterne on the 01st December 1878. He joined the Royal Navy on the 2nd August 1914, just a few days after the war began on 28 July 1914. He joined His Majesty's Hospital Ship Rohilla on the 10th August 1914 for a voyage from Scotland to Dunkirk. He survived the sinking of the ship and continued his service with the Navy until 1919. We hope to find out more about this man and others like him.
